Challenge: Create an engaging, search-friendly guide about black bears that educates users on safety, habitats, and myths without overwhelming them. The goal was to transform dense research into an interactive, visually compelling experience that kept users engaged and improved comprehension.

Approach: I collaborated closely with the designer and content writer to distill key insights from extensive research and translate them into scannable, engaging visuals. We introduced multiple interactive elements, including an interactive state-by-state population map, GIFs and clickable slides, and animated flip cards that turned myth-busting into a simple game. To add practical value, we also created a printable black bear safety checklist for users to take with them when traveling.

Outcome:

• 1.9K monthly organic traffic

• $1.4K in monthly traffic value

• Ranking for 1.4K keywords, driving sustained visibility and engagement
